Developing the Best People

September 16, 20252 min read

A friend recently said something that sharpened my mission.

“We want the best people to become teachers,” he explained, “and cops, and leaders, and so on. The problem is we don’t have enough ‘best people’ to go around.”

Although policies need to improve regarding pay and working conditions for teachers and cops, supporting and coaching them is something that I can do right now without waiting for changes.

“That’s where coaching comes in,” I said. “I’m developing more ‘best people’.”

“You know I support your mission,” he said, “but the problem is that most people don’t want to change. Even when change is better, it’s scary and most people want to remain comfortable.”

“Yes, but those people don’t hire coaches,” I said. “The people who want to change will hire coaches.”

“So, you’re selecting your clients,” he observed. “Very smart.”

“And I’m specifically selecting ADHD leaders because they have the empathy and creativity to be great leaders. I have the ultimate goal of raising what normal is.”

🧠 ADHD traits evolved to meet critical group needs:
Noticing patterns others miss
Thinking in new ways
Reading emotions deeply when survival depends on it

🤝 Coaching hones those traits so you can:
Stop fighting your brain and start partnering with it.
Lead yourself firstso you can lead others with clarity and trust.
Harness empathy as a strength, building psychological safety for your team.
Refine creativity into practical strategies that drive progress.

The result:
🌟 Solving complex challenges in ways that energize both you and your team.

The ultimate result:
💫
Raising the baseline of what ‘normal’ looks like in leadership, workplaces, and society.

🌎 This is how we develop more of the best people the world needs.

🔮 Imagine a future where ‘normal’ leadership means empathy, resilience, and innovation — what part of that future are you building today?

The 21st century needs ADHD Leaders.
