He came to me for help reining in his AudHD and also because he wanted to become a leader in his community. He said he liked his quirks and didn’t want to change, but he wanted to harness them to improve the world around him.
He was not, however, interested in becoming a leader at work, other than his definition of a leader is, “someone others can depend upon.”
Then, after slaying almost all of his goals, he said he’s ready to become a leader at work.
What?! Wait! That wasn’t even a goal of his! Now he has exceeded what he set out to do.
How did he get there?
🔷 Skills he developed through community leadership are transferable to the workplace:
🔹 Speaking in public
🔹 Organizing teams
🔷 He developed them through:
🔹 Our coaching
🔹 Stepping up in his boxing gym, dance classes, church, and other social groups
🔹 Attending a 500 Rising course on teaching women’s self-defense which gave him confidence that he can lead while being sensitive to the needs of women and minorities.
➡️ Regarding his Imposter Syndrome,
he said, “Certain leaders in high positions have no skills, but there they are.”
An inadvertent gift that turned poop into fertilizer.
The throughline of my work is, “You can change the world when you’re fully aligned with yourself.”
This includes:
💠 ADHD Skills—harnessing your ADHD traits so you can use them for your benefit.
💠 Flow State—transforming Hyperfocus into Flow State, more commonly known as The Zone, is a key skill.
💠 Ethical Leadership—leading with integrity, the way leadership is supposed to be.
💠 Eudaimonia—bringing it all together for a life of flourishing while contributing to the greater good.
